Return point is on your farm, across the "road" from the gas tank, between two large vehicle barns. It's also the modification point and is represented by an icon that has a dollar bill over a tractor.

I found recently nearly on nearly all fields the hired helper stops and turns round in unusual positions cutting of large sections of fields causing me to do a lot of work manually

Also in reply to not being able to return leased vehicles you can return them in the shop menu just go to garage then scrol one screen to the right I learned this recently when I couldn't return a leased vehicle on agromap
