Round Bales, is there nothing more?
Round Bales, is there nothing more?
I'm just wanting to make sure I haven't missed anything new in Bale Technology!
I like the auto unloading square bales and really hate stopping for each round bale for unloading.
I like how square bales don't try to roll away into the weeds and hide.
I like the smaller size and cheaper price of the round bale loading wagon.
I wish the square bale loading wagon didn't look so big compared to the rest of my smaller equipment.
I would enjoy loading bales of either type with a tractor and front loader if the visibility was better and the process didn't seem to tedious.
I like how round bales look stacked in the barn better than square ones.
I typically feed cows without doing ANY bales but I like to try bales now and then because it seems more realistic and adds to the game.
So, what does everybody do and prefer? I guess if it were not for feeding cows I might not bale anything at all? Is there anything on the horizon that might impact the process? I sort of wish there were a round bale/wrapper combo machine like the square version.

Re: Round Bales, is there nothing more?
I use round sometimes because its what I use IRL, but if I'm doing a bigger operation, I'll use square

Re: Round Bales, is there nothing more?
I like round bales more because that is what I see most along with small squares (which I can't use in FS). I do like, however, how the square bales don't try to take you on a scenic off-road tour of the map. The stopping to unload round bales doesn't really bother me since that is how it is done IRL, but if I am short on time (since I use Seasons), I often use large squares due to the high speed.

Ya, would like to try small bales but I'm on console... be fun to be able to pick them up by hand and such, and I would just like the look of an old school small hay bailer. I'm old enough that I've done that! Don't see it much anymore!
