How does that hold a combine down?

set wood on top combine and it only works if trailer has straps

They tried to include it in the game. However they ran into hit box issues so they gave up on it.

I put a combine on my hooklift platform , put some pallets on top and strapped it down and it worked very well. Except when I turned a corner to sharply and the combine flew off some how .

I just drive my stuff. Takes too long to load it and reload it when it falls off. Shame they couldn't figure out something. Maybe in FS19.

Fun Fact: There was a lowboy mod in FS2011 (there were many others but this particular one was my favorite) that had a locking script. Anything with wheels could lock to the trailer. And I mean LOCK!!! It became part of the trailer and wouldn't separate for nothing unless you told it to or reset all equipment. You could turn the truck and trailer over and the equipment you were hauling would still be attached. I miss those days...

I have a crazy idea that might solve this "issue" ...
Adjust your speed "accordingly"!

I don’t know expect to haul ass just faster than a combine can drive from one side of the map to the other

I'm all about driving realistically and have had success with hauling a few things as long as the map is perfectly flat with straight roads. But there are times when you can load a piece of equipment on a trailer (and do it right, not crooked or hanging a tire off) and it will slide off without you even driving. All you have to do is get close to it with another vehicle and it will just slide right off. BSM's flatbed hooklift does this the worst but all of them do it some. The two in game low-loaders work the best but they're not big enough to haul most combines. So I just drive stuff most of the time.
