I have a few question about Oakfield
1. Solid fertilize usage when direct seeding (hard dificulty, without seasons, no income mods etc)
after seeding 1.7 hectares, the fertilizer consumption was around 600L ,but I did not check it very carefully. Normaly that usage should be around 130 L per hectar.
Some time ago i used this mod https://www.modhoster.com/mods/realisti ... escription but I cant remember that fertilize usage was changed

Field number 13,grain Soybeans
Image
Green - sown hectares
Yellow - seed usage
Red - Fertilize usage

2.Should it be possible to fill the barrel with water here?

Hi there regarding the solid fert the map has no changes to this so shouldn’t be different to any other default map etc.

No the well is just for decorative purposes. The big blue water tanks provide water along with hosepipes around the farm.

Hope this helps.

Yes, it was a bad idea to look for a free water near the church :blushnew:
And another one
So, we can buy lime/kalk and compost at Empire Stores. The first one is used in fert spreaders but compost has two options, solid manure spreaders and balers. I tried the second one but it did not work for me. Mb that NH balers are wrong(i try both, round and square). Maybe I should use Goweil LT Master? What I missed?
Anyway, thank you for answering and also for creating a great map

I'm curious where you heard that you could bale compost. I can't recall reading it anywhere and I'm fairly well acquainted with Oakfield.
How did you try to bale it? AFAICS the only way it might work is if you tipped it on the ground and drove over it with the baler. It seems like an odd feature if it is one, though I admit that I know little about the production of compost, I'd be surprised if it gets baled at any point. As I understand it, it needs to be turned regularly to stop the centre of the pile getting too hot and cooking the microbes.

When I started the game on this map, I tried everything that it has to offer. There is a sellpoint, Empire Store. Here u can buy lime and compost. So lime can be used only as a solid fert with spreaders, it is cheaper than the basic fertilizer so that's great
You can see it in the photo from the shop specialization

compost can be used in manure spreaders

but also balers have this spec

I saw this icon by accident and it made me curious,so I just try tip on the ground like it was be a grass but nothing happened, balers did not want to pick it up. I am not a farmer IRL, I only know about the compost that you can use it as a bedding for flowers, but I'm not 100% sure
if the game gives me the opportunity to do something, why should not try it? Mb this little icon in the store is just a bug...

That is great news Oxygendavid *thumbsup*
I do play on any map you and BulletBill make.
I've just finished Oakfield after finishing The West Coast and I'm eagerly waiting for The Lone Oak.
In the mean time, this news came like summer present :biggrin2: :hi:
Are you planning on opening another WIP thread in this forum too?

Wow.... just wow. Looks like it could be one of the only maps that will make me play anything other than Oakfield. And I was thinking earlier how cool it would be to have carrots in game!

Just can't thank you, and all the amazing people that make mods for this game enough for what you all do for the community.

Bill: a top three feature for me, and I don't think I'm alone, is adjustable fields. I like to feel that I can affect the land layout. Stretching fields and combining as a personal touch. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks for the hard work.
