Re: Request for Giants
for me thats probably my biggest draw to this game and other similar games.. 1 grandpa was a farmer (crops only) who also ran and operated a trucking company.. my other grandpa owned a demolition and excavating company his whole life and my 3rd grandpa (i was adopted when i was 3) was an engineer for the railroad.. my dad drove over the road in a semi as far back as i can remember and my daddy drives a dump truck and raises horses on our family farm.. most of my uncles and even a couple aunts r all in similar lines of work (including tree removal).. ive operated everything from backhoes and dozers to semi trucks and tractors.. been a farm hand (grandpa did most of the actual field work himself as he absolutely loved his time spent in a tractor or harvester so i mostly did yard work, moving equipment from point a to point b, running the grain bin for the harvester, turning wrenches, swinging hammers, etc).. all i knew most of my life was how to repair and operate heavy equipment.. now my grandpas r gone, family has moved away and a couple years ago i had several heart attacks back to back and had to give up manual labor for good.. i really miss it and this game and similar games help bring that feeling back.. i own fs15, fs17, construction sim, ets2, ats, my summer car, railroad tycoons and things like that.. these games really fill a hole in my heart.. thats y i play and i suppose thats y brand really doesnt matter for me.. ive operated so many different brands and types of equipment over the years.. i didnt care about brands then and i dont now.. for me its always been turning the key or hitting the ignition button and hearing that engine roar to life.. feeling the power as i grind through the gears pulling something heavy.. hearing the familiar whine as i engage a hydraulic ram.. its the "little" things i suppose that gets my blood pumping
