If it's early summer and still <5°, they will fail. That's my experience anyway, and ISTR having this conversation with a member of Realismus way back in the first seasons thread.
There has to be a cut-off point somewhere, or you could end up with crops which never become harvestable before winter hits.
I've not played with the Sweden Geo, but just looking at the calendar I can see that it's going to be a struggle to grow anything besides poplars or grass as a spring crop, so good luck to you!
I did try (and try and try) with the Northern Sweden GÉO and in four years I never once had a spring crop germinate.

I've found that if the AI farmers plant crops in spring, if I plant them they will grow even if the temps don't seem to align correctly. Or maybe I saw things... 😳

So I’m using the new saxony geo and the calendar suddenly changed. Is that part of it?

It does state in the description that the weather is variable.

No the planting window. It moved from the first day of spring to the second.

Did you try it with no other mod in your folder? What does the log say?

perhaps it's simulating things being dicatated by the actual weather rather than having to plant things by a defined 'seasonal' period.

Do you mean that you changed or added the geo on a saved game?

As if so when did you add it in winter?

It's recommend to only change the geo in winter or at start as not to mess what's planted etc.

No it's the geo I started with. I was coming up to the end of winter, so I wanted to set a plan for seeding. I noticed the calendar looked odd. I looked up a screenshot on modhub and I noticed mine was different. I've never had this happen before.

The screenshot on modhub may not be the actual geo or may be an old screenshot.

Sudden change is an issue with how we calculated something and is fixed in 1.3.1 (upcoming)

Do the overall hours on a tractor make a difference in its performance?
I have a Deutz Series 9 with around 160hrs on it and it seems like its straining pulling the Condor.
I have another Deutz Series 9 with 10 hours and it feels stronger.
Am I imagining this?
They both have 27 hours before maintenance.
