Rather than brand I purchase tractors by need. Generally I'll end up with 3 being a small chassis for around the barn use. To me the Valera N is the best value. Next is a good general purpose tractor at about 250 HP. To me important this tractor have a bucket loader and move fast. Again the bang for the buck goes to Valera S. last needed is a heavy duty tractor with 350-400 HP. Cost is a driver here for me and the MF8700 is the best value. After this the other powered equipment falls into the speciality item category like the mowers or Super duty tractors and I get what I need map dependent

I like using equipment that fits in with the map and I only play British maps so I have never actually used any of the big kit. This might change with oakfield farm as the fields look massive. Currently on CPF and my biggest tractor is an old fendt favourite (260bhp) for plowing and subsoiling. Powerharrow goes on my is 7810 and fendt 724. Plant spuds with a new holland TM and the 724 and then Harvest with a grimme gt170s trailed harvester on a The TM with the hauling left to a fendt and 7810. I have no interest in the huge machines pulling trailed implements around a box shaped field.

Do you happen to have a link for that gt170s?
I've had a bit of a Google but all I can find is shady sites or the fs15 version.

Don't have a link to hand but google search "76-max grimme gt170s fs17" and you will find a link to sharemod. I had to mess about with the follow me mod to make it realistic in game but it can hold crop in the machine and does not need perfect following.

I love massey's, specifically the 7700 series, a skid steer has a place on all my farms (you should know this ) A 313 hp tractor is usually on the lot, and for larger tractors I dont really have a preference

I just started a new farm on Westbridge Hills, and only about 20 hours in.

Currently:
2 Big Bud 450's
1 MF 5600 (130HP with FEL)
2 (BSM) MF 27 Combines running MF Freeflow (7.6m) Headers
1 BSM 850 Hook
We are all ignorant, we are all just ignorant about different things.

^^ Yours is pretty legit too, just wanna point out that a draper has a belt instead of an auger and that header has an auger so its not a draper :blushnew:

I have 2 White ones for general stuff (fertilising etc)
2 Yellow ones - these are fast ones for harvest carting back & fro
2 Dark Gray/Black ones for plowing/sowing/tanker moving
1 big Red one for the cultiplow

Oh and a big Yellow harvester

Obviously they all have a loads of letters & numbers in their name, but those mean nothing to me.

Hey dunn

Those old BSM Massey 27s are great. I am running one on my Bjornholm map as well. I believe IRL they were Danish-build Dronningborg combines marketed internationally as MF. An old neighbour in England had one, either a 27 or 28. Driving the old bomb around the field really brings back the memories *thumbsup*
