harvesting wheat or barley not the same on some maps..WHY??

I am playing Great Country map and have seen this on some others..if you turn off the swath mode..usually you get a straw chaff that the grain stumble still shows through..on this map it leasve a ground cover that when you go to re-seed you can't see the ground to follow planters area..even the culivators don't turn it under..is this something to do with the ground texture the modder did or what??

sorry for the slow response..damn flu knocked me on my a**..yes it was the chopped straw mod..don't know how it got loaded..never saw it before..yes if you plowed it was ok but not with culivators..thank you all for the response again as usual..

There is a mod that changes the Chopped straw mod that allows it to be cultivated/seeded in one pass.
