Can FS19 run in my PC? please read!!

Post by Paco LS »

Hello everyone!!. I like very much farming simulator, so I was playing that since FS2013. I'm really excited about the new FS2019, however I'm afraid about my PC. Is a HP laptop with these things:

SO: Windows 8.1 64 bits.
Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4210U CPU @1.70GHz (4 CPUs) ~ 2.70 GHz
Memory: 4096 RAM
DirectX 11
Graphic card: NVIDIA geoforce 820M, 4000 MB.

I can play FS2017 without problems, usually 40-60 fps in medium graphics (default maps and good optimized mod maps). So, my question is for all, but specialy for the personal of Giants Software... Could I play well to FS19?. I like very much this game but I don't like to buy another computer... Thanks a lot!

Probably you can but not with a better experience than mid graphics again.
Besides, how can you stand Win 8.1? Whenever I see a Win vista or 8 pc I just want to crash them with a hammer.
If you have a chance I suggest upgrading to win 10 or even better down grading to win 7.

The last we heard is that it's too early to give system requirements. Though I'd agree with Rodha that you will probably be able to run it (even if it's on low). Giants are really good at optimisation in my experience though. I could run fs15 MUCH better than fs13 on my old potato despite them improving the graphics then.
Optimist: Glass is half full
Pessimist: Glass is half empty

Engineer: The glass is twice the size it needs to be!

If I can play fs19 in medium graphics, I'm happy. People say that the future FS19 will need a stronger PC

From what Lis said if I currently run on low settings with fs17 your rig would struggle with fs19.. How I see this translating for u is if u r currently running medium settings then u will probably have to drop down to low to maintain your frame rates.. With my current rig I'm able to run on high on most well built maps and maintain 60fps so I anticipate dropping down to medium graphic which doesn't really work for me.. I paid good money for a pc so I could have an edge on my xbone.. So with our tax return kicking just a couple weeks away I'm giving my current rig to my wife's son and I'm getting an upgrade.. Which works as I really wanted something VR capable anyway

I got this last year.

Runs FS17 on very high settings with a very stable 60fps, but will be trading out the i5-7400 for the i7 700 at the end of the year.

Also bumped up the RAM to 16GB.

I was gonna just upgrade my card and kick my system ram up to 32gb as my 4ghz quad core should be up to par but her son has been begging for a new pc to game on (not sure y.. He only ever plays Japanese anime based rpg games which will run on pretty well anything) but either way.. My current rig will run what he wants like a boss and I get a more powerful pc that's VR capable right out of the box

I have the same card and am struggling with frame drops frequently as well on anything other than low settings.

Some more info would be good. What settings are you trying to run it on? Have you tired playing around with the settings? And try turning MSAA down as this seems to have a big impact.

I could run fs17 almost maxed so I refuse to except I have to run 19 on low to get stable frames. And there are others with much more powerful cards so I'm suspecting its a problem with the games optimisation (but that is my opinion so you know, grain of salt).
