I think I'll get one of those huge curved monitors, using track ir on a 24in one is nice but, yeah, bigger monitor.

$400 range.. Oh my I said something console fanboys didn't like... Guess had this coming (note the sarcasm).. Seriously.. I could easily find more examples of rigs for a while lot less than $1000 if I actually cared enough to do so.. That was my point... Still holds true.. #sorrynotsorry

Calm down Jessi, I'm not a console player anymore but on far too many occasions, PC players say you can get much better PC hardware for the same money as console. It simply isn't true and that is the only point I was making.

I understand guil.. But in the same token I never said for the same price.. I know they cost more.. The benefits of playing on pc come at a cost.. But more often than not console users r under the impression that a usable gaming rig is some kind of mystical super expensive unobtainable machine that cannot be bought on a budget and that is just not true.. They r not thousands of dollars for a playable machine.. More often than not u can get comfortably in the door for between 400-600 dollars.. Then build on it as u can afford (and I'm aware that this varies based on the region u r from)

^^^ I agree with that. My pc was about $450 without all the upgrades I've put in it just cuz I wanted to. I will not be upgrading my system for FS19 exclusively, as I am pretty sure I'll be able to run it on high settings no problem. At some point I'll buy an i7 for the non-gaming stuff I do (video production, coding, better boot times, some heavier gaming).

Just remember guys and gals that Red is from Canada, so when you are talking $400 to $600 in the US it is more like $700-$1000CDN and that isn’t anything high end either. Right now a PS4 pro is $500CDN and if you catch it on a sale it is $400.

Point taken canadafarms but the counter argument could be made that the lowest minimum wage for any province up there is $10.95 an hour so ultimately it should take roughly the same amount of time and work to earn enough to pay for the same pc if we r going based on a wage vs cost of living ratio

Thats true but I think Red is still in school so that could be part of it too. So what’s the minimum wage in the us? I know Red is from Manitoba so we have 13% sales tax on top of the purchase price plus someone on minimum wage here has income tax and deductions somewhere around 25% to 30% too so that 11$ an hour is more like $6.50. Also we don’t have the retail competition you guys have in the states either so we get gouged on everything. Between that and our worthless Monopoly money, it really doesn't get you very far. I get advertisement emails from Best Buy all the time, I just got one today for a gaming PC with a 1060 card, 128gb SSD and 1TB HDD and it was $1600. Sorry if that sounds a bit off but I deleted the email right after I read it.

Edit: Ok I couldn’t find that one but here is the specs for another one I found....and NVMD the first one because I am probably way off on the specs.

I7 7700
1 TB HDD
128 GB SSD
GTX 1060

Price $1500
With tax $1695

Our federal minimum wage is $8.25 an hour and also factor in the we get reamed on an epic scale with everything from medical care to education.. Its fair to say that it isn't perfect anywhere but I feel that my point still has merit.. Say it takes 6 months to save for a console no matter where u r from.. The only thing stopping u from saving a few months more for a gaming rig is u.. So settling for a sub par gaming system has everything to do with patience in this scenario and very little to do with actual cost

True, if you want something bad enough you can do it, my point was you can’t compare the US to Canada, where for a couple hundred bucks you can upgrade, to here where it seems to be more of a difference between console and PC pricing. I don’t have a dog in this race, I could go PC if I wanted, I’m still undecided on what I will play 19 on. I just know that here for a student or low income earner it may be more of a challenge. We also have to pay a lot for post secondary education too and part time jobs for students are hard to come by with the influx of immigrants nowadays....

We get it, you have a PC, others prefer consoles and some can't afford to burn money on PC rigs....

It's like beating a dead horse with these threads.

Chill.

Not all console user's....in fact I'd a say a very very small percentage of console gamers have that mindset.

Ugh what's going on here. Is this turning into a console vs pc war?

Because it looks like it..
