How did you measure? How did you arrive at 7.91 and 9.53 respectively?

Overlap counts in the overview screen, so if you were say half a header width off and still harvesting it would count double the part that was already harvested

I wonder this too. There must be a way but I've never figured it out. It would be handy to check your field sizes. The only time I can see them is when checking the Mission/Buy window when the field still belongs to someone else.

The Best way I have found is with Courseplay. It will give you the field stats, including seed requirements on a per crop basis.

If you're talking about starting fields and you're playing on PC, its fairly easy. Start a new play on the map in question then save and exit. If you look through the save files, there is a series of lines in one of the files which indicates which field you own. I can't remember which since I haven't played on PC since 15, but they're easy to find. You can then set all the fields to not owned. When you reload, you will be able to check the field sizes.

In my case (on console), I wrote a quick and simple app based on Gauss's Formula to calculate the field size from a list of the coordinates for the field. It can handle oddly shaped fields with virtually any number of sides.

Depends on the overlap. Say you start on the edge of the field with no overlap, but the finish row is over lapping then will include the overlap as well. I would say that the field is 8Ha.
Stop the worker before the finish row and see what you get. Then just estimate the leftover amount.

I was going by the in game measurements that tell you how much was cultivated /harvested /sown

In that case, then it is definitely a matter of varying overlap as suggested above.

Actually, the response "different yields for different crops" was not a bad one. If you had told us which crop you harvested and how many liters you added to your silo, and that it was plowed and fully fertilized, we could have told you the size of your field measured in hectares.

For instance, Wheat yields 17,800 liters on one plowed and fully-fertilized hectare of land. It might vary only slightly if a spot or two are missed when sowing.

The size of the field doesn't change, which is why your initial statement that you got two different field sizes as measured in hectares was confusing.

You'll get 70,000 liters of Straw per hectare, 87,000 liters of Grass, if you've plowed and fertilized once or three times, depending on your setting.

Were you doing any mowing during the session when you harvested corn? Or collect anything forage-style?

no nothing else sergeant, the main reason behind asking is that on oregon fields map i like to have field shapes that a worker can do the job without having to go back to them and re-start them,so at the moment fields 1,3,4 are all one field now,15,14 all one and 19 and 20 also one field, when i brought field 2 ,ploughed it and put grass back on it i didn't get the same size field area as when i brought it,so where do i get a closer figure from
