What happens if you put seasons on a map and it's not seasons ready?

I think the only difference is snow can enter buildings so you can't store bales without them rotting away .

I may be wrong. I don't use seasons personally

Seasons on a non-Seasons-ready map works fine in all respects except for two things:

-snow will pile up in buildings as markare mentions
-bales do not rot anywhere, whether stored under cover or not.

Apart from the already mentioned, there is a small chance that the trees changing to match the seasons will not work, but this is only on maps where the map maker did not use the proper FS17 trees.

Some "Seasons compatible" maps incorporate more features than others. For example some have additional textures for bushes to change with the Seasons and some use our snow admirer functionality to freeze ponds and add objects like snow men etc.

Thank you for asking this question. I always assumed if a map isn't season's compatible on console, then you couldn't play with seasons on. I take it not only can you, but you also don't have to worry about grass bales rotting, which is awesome.

Grass bales will always rot with seasons. It's just hay and straw which can be left uncovered if the map isn't seasons ready.
