Weeders : E3 Demo

Post by Dusty1424 »

If you have seen the Reddit post concerning the E3 Demo you would have read that weeders appear to be able to actually do what they are supposed a do , pull up weeds . I had wondered how this would work , then I remembered a while back when I was playing around customising Estancia Lapachia , Lapachio ? . Anyway , as you know it has the ploughable bushes and shrubs , I was using the Wildgrass mod with the little kvernland seeder to fill in some blank areas and when I ran over the grass with the seeder down it removed the bushes and shrubs just like a plough would but left the grass . Could this be the next step in gameplay for FS19 ? You plough , cultivate , fertilize , sow and then at some point in the growth cycle weeds appear and then you either have to spray or use a weeder to get rid of them to max out crop yield ? Some sort of weed management would certainly be more realistic .

Do you have a link? I'd like to read through it.

Until it comes from the horses mouth I won’t truly believe it however it would be nice to have herbicide and things of that nature included in game if they do this I wonder would they include pesticides as well

All articles I've seen about FS19 have been confirmed to be true by Lisertan.
I assume people don't use Seasons, unless they say otherwise.

Now that we can spray for weeds too in fs19 I sure do hope they increase the speed of the sprayers.

So does the weeds constantly grow? Let's say after harvesting do they grow back? Interesting how the weeder animation will work

Recent trends has seen spraying at lower speeds is more effective than the quicker speeds most are used too in the past, so Giants are just following the way the industry is going.

Everyone I see spraying with self propelled sprayers in my area seem to be going faster than 7 mph looks more like 12 to 15 at least and never really see any spots they miss when spraying herbicide the whole fields look clean after the weeds and grass die.

But how many farms still use weeders/cultivators to remove weeds from their fields after planting these days anyway? Everyone just sprays for weeds now. If they did still use weeders they would have to pass them just about every week or two to keep the fields clean over here and that would just be wasting alot of time and money.
