I now have the realism ones I could find for ps4: seasons, geo us Midwest, 4real crop destruction, camera collision, ground response and tire dirt. Two maps mustang and west bridge.
I’ve only been playing since yesterday but have a question. I want to keep mine simple for people to easily join because I had to download almost everything to be able to join others and it was annoying. My question is are there any mods or mod equipment for ps4 that gives me the ability to do things I normally couldn’t with the base game?
Also on a separate note are there mods that have equipment that is much better? I only want to play on goldcrest and the two I mentioned for their square larger fields. I don’t care about visuals so I don’t want a modded tractor or cultivator that’s just as good as what I have but looks different. Again my goal is few mods so more can join me.

Re: Do I need mods?
You don't NEED anything else really.
But a lot of it is personal preference.
I appreciate when people keep the mod list short. There is nothing more frustrating that finally getting all the mods to be compatible, and then not using any of them during a 4 hour session.
When I host multiplayer, I tend to use very few mods. If we decide we want something more, its easy for everyone in party to download the mod together real quick.
The BSM 70k liter trailer is pretty common in most multiplayer servers I've visited.
All my maps have the MF Old Pack as my "starter" tractors.
My private maps have all my mods enabled so that shopping is easier.

I play on Xbox3 (Which they called the "One" for some reason)

Re: Do I need mods?
I have played FS15 and FS17 and with both games I went from heavily modded back to "vanilla" ...
After playing without mods again for a while I found the few ones that improves my gaming expaerience, but for MP I can play without mods any day (for "simplicity" reasons).
Most of the mods I do not wanna play without are "scripts" ... the game is fully playable without any more vehicles other than the ones provided by GIANTS in the original game.
I avoid using mods that you need to purchase through the shop. This way I can easily remove them from my savegame to be able to host an "easy to join" MP session.

Modded machines are not essential, but there are realismus mods that makes original machines behaviour like in real life. It is completely different gaming experience. So yeah farming simulator without mods is like x10 worse.

There’s only a smallish selection of mods that I use, the ones that you use, the Oshkosh & Man package, bSm 70k trailer, that huge grass cutter (forgot the name), and the silos that hold other crops where other silos do not.

Re: Do I need mods?
I checked the mower and like it especially on my big American farms. The 70k is nice as well. I’ve added in the map cleaner for spills, the Oshkosh and biobeltz log trailer with crane because I think they add something the game needed. Looking for more like them. Like I said I don’t want 100 mods that are visual but I want the ones for realism or those that add a feature that doesn’t exist in the game.

Re: Do I need mods?
Yeah the Big m500. I like how it cuts the grass and puts it into rows ready for either bailing or loading.
I tried using the crane on the Oshkosh, but found it a nightmare so just tend to use a tele handler with a log attachment. However I only tend to do logging if I want to make some fast cash to buy larger equipment.
When I first played this game, I downloaded loads of mods, and then realised most of them were either rubbish or not needed, so only really tend to use the ones that I like. You’ll find some map silos don’t hold Chaff/ Wood chips/ Silage/ TMR, so tend to buy 2-4 of the modded silos just to take some stress away.
Snowblower is good if you wanna use that on the front of a man truck with a 70k trailer behind, however if you try using it, I’d recommend driving nomore than 17mph as you’ll start missing most of the product on the floor.
Big bud and the Ropa dlc makes the game nicer as well, especially if you’re using the BioGas for Silage, because I think if you filled up 5 bunkers and only had a front loader that could only move 10k units at a time, you’ll want to cry, as most bunkers I usually fill between 1m-1.7m Silage per bunker.
Hope that helps, if you’re on the PS4 and fancy a hand with whatever, drop me an add, it’s in my signature.
