Sunflowers. Mainly because they look nice until ready for harvest and you can harvest them faster than other crops.

Corn because tortillas, whiskey, and beef for tacos.

If you're just wanting the most money, grass is the way to go. Plant once and harvest as much as you want. Only fertilize twice between harvests.

There's really no "best". It just depends on what you like to do.

for me its wheat as it gives straw which I use for my cows and the left over straw is made into compost for the fields

OSR/Canola, soybeans, sunflowers and corn all have the exact same yield:price ratio.

Barley and wheat actually bring in far more (nearly 50% more!) than any other grain if you bale and sell the straw too (bales are better as prices don't drop once you've sold some, unlike loose straw).

I tested all this when adjusting the extra fruits on Oakfield Farm.

Silage bales are also a massive and relatively quick money maker if that's what you want. 8 silage bales gives you over £20,000 on normal mode, and again the prices don't drop unlike loose silage.

The above was tested without Seasons.

Very concise graph. :hi: The only thing I don't understand about the wheat/barley to straw argument is that it takes extra time, extra equipment and extra gas to accomplish. You could seemingly accomplish nearly the same thing with a high dollar low yield crop without all the extra effort.

And if u sell the straw bales at the bga you get digestate to fertilize with.

I'm a big fan of wheat and barley once you scale baling. There isn't much extra time invested in once you've got all the big equipment.
