XB1 Disk Space Issue

I was trying to download some mods last night and I kept getting a message that I didn’t have any disk space.

I checked in settings and I have 250gb free.

Restarted game and the console but that didn’t help.

Any suggestions?

It's more than likely referring to the 4gb mod install space that consoles have. I'm sure there's a way but I can't remember how you can check what space you have used.

when you're in the modhub in the upper right corner there is a percentage, also if you try and download a mod you don't have room for it tells you exactly how big the mod is and how much space you have free

You dont get to use the full 4gb either. It leaves a few mb spare. I got a notification telling me I needed a certain amount for a map and the actual amount I had was more but wouldn't install

usually what i do is if theres a map i dont plan on using in the near future ill delete the mod but not the save, when you want to play that save again just reinstall that map again

The percentage is at 100.

I deleted a 600mb map but it didn’t move off 100.

That means it probably hasn't uninstalled properly.

Could try restarting Xbox see if it changes

I've had the same- I checked my local storage too and couldn't work out why it was full when I had Gb's free so assumed it had an allocated limit for mods.

Very annoying but one of the limitations of console I guess- it's hard work going through installed mods trying to decide which ones to delete (and remember which ones are used in savedgames!)

If anyone does know of a way around it, please share !

Hi i had same problem on xbox 1 your saved games are part of that aswell you have room for 10 saved games i deleted some that i dont want any more frees up about 3 percent per save

Not really a way around it, it's a limit Microsoft and Sony put in place with giants, I am hoping to see a increase, maybe they could decide to base it on a percentage of storage on your Xbox including any external drive haha

Microsoft and Sony put the limit in place WITHOUT giants. The 4GB space is standard for all games on console.

At this point external doesn't impact it at all, I have a 4tb hooked up to my Xbox and still only 4gb for modd

Same here.

The joke is: A DLC is NOT within the 4GB (reservated space for a game).
A DLC don't have a limit!
You can have the 4GB + DLCs 60GB ...

... and now... giants... DLCs .... I know, it's a problem about licence and modders and so on, but a DLC with all availlable maps would be an amazing solution.
