FS 19 Slaughterhouse?
FS 19 Slaughterhouse?
Will the slaughterhouse be on FS 19? Will we cut off the animals we produce and sell them as meat?

Yea those pricks at PETA were already complaining when pigs were added to the game for 17, imagine how triggered they would get if the actual slaughterhouse was in game
Playing on Ps4
Re: FS 19 Slaughterhouse?
If giants did add that they would probably have the rating increase as someone mentioned so I’d doubt they’d do it also like someone mentioned PETA went ape when pigs got announced for 17 I’m surprised they didn’t have another petition or something with horses being added
Re: FS 19 Slaughterhouse?
I don't know why the rating would change unless you could SEE the animals being slaughtered.
I think its healthy to show children where their food comes from.

I play on Xbox3 (Which they called the "One" for some reason)

No slaughterhouse house, just sell your livestock and pretend its a slaughterhouse.

Re: FS 19 Slaughterhouse?
There's a strong argument for children to know, yes, but not all age groups - when that should happen should be the choice of their parents.
Remember different cultures have some different means of slaughter too, some of which are more controversial than others.
To be honest, I don't see a problem. I used to volunteer on a farm and we only ever sold our meat animals at an auctioneers, not direct to a abattoir or butcher. I realise that's not consistent even across the rest of the UK let alone the rest of the world, but it means it's realistic for GIANTS to cover it this way. I suppose it would be nice to have beef cattle as well as dairy cattle (or the ability to mod them in), but it's not he end of the world.
The other side of the coin is that PETA, a controversial (read: nuts) lobbying group in the UK, even sent an open letter to GIANTS prior to FS17's release asking them to either graphically show the slaughtering of animals or to rename it to Vegan Farming 17!

Thank you for the link!
PETA always makes me shake my head whenever they pop up.
Humans are omnivores.
PETA should mean:
People
Eating
Tasty
Animals

Re: FS 19 Slaughterhouse?
I never knew that PETA wrote against pigs in FS17!
I'm hardly surprised, though their letter was absolutely ridiculous having read through it. I have no respect for them, they aren't a charity, they're a campaign group trying to run livestock farmers and the associated businesses out of trade, sparing no thought for those who work within. There's a reason they were denied charity status in the UK. /rant.
On topic, I think they have to keep such activities to a minimum to retain the "Everyone" and "Age 3" rating on the game.

Re: FS 19 Slaughterhouse?
What if Giants called the slaughterhouse “the meat fairy”?
Re: FS 19 Slaughterhouse?
Strange, during the many hours I’ve sunk into fs17, I’ve never noticed my pigs being stuffed into over crowded factory farms/pens, from what I could see, they have a good size run, indoor shed with bedding and troughs (dependant on map) styles outside, clean water from a large trough, unless I haven’t looked hard enough and that’s only a small portion of my pigs, while the rest are in a secret basement below the housing cramped into cages

Re: FS 19 Slaughterhouse?
Maybe in FS21, they’ll have guards to protect the sheep from “loving” neighbors or the cows from being tipped over by those juvenile delinquents? Maybe that’s what the dog is actually for. Oh the inhumanity of it all!
