Valtra N. Best 'bang for buck' tractor in the game?

Post by Dexzilla »

The Valtra N must be the best 'bang for buck: tractor, certainly in the vanilla game. I have done everything with it...
Your thoughts?

Maybe I should give that one a try. My general go to workhorse is the fendt favourit mod as they are reasonably priced with decent engine options, front 3point and a front loader option

It's a great tractor. Especially for it's size.

I try not to use the same equipment on different maps though for the most part. I used the N and T Valtras on The Valley The Old Farm. Now I'm using CaseIH on Lone Oak.
FS22 is the best one yet. Fight me!

I was thinking Massey 7700’s as well I used two of those as my starting tractors on estancia lapacho and they did a lotta things for me the only reason I’m a little unsure how good they are outside of game is one I’m a diehard Case IH fan in real life two I’ve heard from guys who’ve used Massey in real life they can have a lotta maintenance problems then again though people could be the same with diehard Massey fan hate Case IH, either way in game they were great

Ya same, 7700 is one of the best value work horses in the game, even has front loader if you like that

Yep, that is a great piece of kit too. To be honest I don't think I have needed anything that big due to my play style and it would be a bit tricky to get around the tight forests maybe.( and there are so many MFs around here, sick of the sight of them LOL)
I am planning a 'Going Large' play through though, (just to show I can handle more then 180 hp :) ) would you recommend an engine upgrade on the 7700 or is it good for the work stock? The variety of this game is what makes it so good. Not just in the equipment but in that the players can 'find their way' and the equipment to go with it!

Redglasses, did you try any XBOX multiplayer, I may need a stunt man!

I've always championed the Valtra as one of the best tractors in the game. Having said that I always have a 7726 too!

i always used the valtra T series when i started, becasue it could pull the 6 meter vaderstad seeder. Later when the fendt favorit 800 and 900 made it to consoles those got used all the time, because the price when starting a farm where better..

Id have to say it's the Case Puma - not that expensive, great power band (up to 270bhp), huge selection of wheel options including narrows for crop destruction, can be fitted with a front loader and has a much cheaper daily maintenance cost than the other tractors around it.

+1 on that. Puma is hard to beat in my book. With one or two of those, a modest combine, and a few implements, you can get a surprisingly effective farming operation going.

The term does apply. An engine’s power band spans from zero (at zero RPM), up to some larger value at it’s rated maximum engine speed (in RPM). At some point in that range of engine speeds, that value will peak. In this case, he’s referring specifically to that peak (advertised) power output. So, it does represent one point within the engine’s power band. I took his overall statement to mean that he feels the tractor offers a broad and useful range of power output.
