You can also always use the Print Screen key on your keyboard to copy a screengrab to your clipboard. You can then paste it (Ctrl+V) in an image editor like Paint. It's usually to the right of the F12 key.

Sorry for the late reply. Played around with the settings some more when I got home. Still no change.

And for a better comparison . I could explain these shadow differences, but I think they speak for themselves (espically behind the front tire and steps)

It depends on your graphics settings. For me with 'Shadow Map Filtering' in the options set to 'low' it actually seems to make the shadows of the tractor more pronounced. There's no real performance difference by the looks of it so set it to which you prefer.

Note that Shadow Quality also needs to be set to high.

Pressing the Print Screen button directly saves a screenshot to the screenshots folder as a PNG in the game folder (where you find your mods and savegames) as well as copying it to your clipboard.

Thanks for figuring this out gav - I was also playing around with settings last night to no avail. Shadow map filtering makes sense - it didn't seem to me that the shadows were 'worse' per se, but that they had light diffraction applied to them as you would see in the real world. Shadows don't usually have sharp edges - they fade over a gradient.

Thanks gab and drb! I was playing with that setting last night. That seems to be our guy.

For me setting it to low has killed my frames. I'll have to probably turn down some of the lod to keep the frames up in 4k on the 1060.

Is setting this to low why the shadows have become more than just jaggys? Building shadows really take a hit looking more like a stair step effect.
