Best silage roller?

Post by Sergeant Larson »

So I'm at the point where spending an hour or more compacting 2 million grass isnt fun. I tried out the Olbert SW 300 mod and it seems like its helping, but its not like, "wow this thing amazing!". Is there a "best" roller mod for xbox that will knock my socks off?

I like the Holaras stego mod, when it’s filled with water it takes no time at all

How does it compare to the new bressel & lade that just showed up in my modhub? I downloaded both.

To be fair that sounds just as good really, probably isn’t much in it.

Thirded. When it came out I tested it against the others and there was simply no contest. You want the older of the stego models (the 500?). Stick one on the back and one on the front of your tractor, fill with water and you’ll be compacted in no time.

You might know this already but if you’re doing full bunkers the quickest way is to dump the material in one place each time, rather than spread evenly along the length of the bunker, until it reaches its max height as it will flatten itself off on top. When nearly done take a wheel loader up onto the pile with a fork full of silage and fill in any gaps (just tip the fork down and it will only drop silage where there are gaps). Then just drive up on top with a tractor and the stegos to compact and you’re done.

This is how i have to do it now with the massive harvests. i call it "packing the bunk to the rafters. *thumbsup* i tried the stegos 500 and its king of rollers. slightly better than the bressel and lade.
