Split screen won't ever happen in today's climate

Never say never.
But yeah I know what you mean. Since most dev's now concentrate on having one player game with multi online.
Trying to find a game for the family to sit together and play is getting harder to come by.

Surprises don't really make sense when it comes to developing games because you want people to know all the cool new things that will be in the game so they are more likely to buy it.

If there is a surprise coming it will likely be something minor (i.e. not something big like Claas/Seasons/Courseplay/etc).

Best surprise of all would be an editor that automatically converts our maps from 17 to 19 at the press of a button. ;)

I have heard of no such surprises. Only wishes/hopes of things various people want.

If there are surprises, seasons would be at the top of my wish list but that's been shot down various times by Giants employees. (Maybe a soon after release mod?)

Remember the old Case/NH starting equipment in 17 that wasn't announced or alluded to at all (until it was leaked via live streams the week of launch)? Well, they very well could have some really cool stuff that hasn't been shown yet. Old JDs perhaps? :hmm:

Keep in mind where FS17 is now and where it was this time two years ago. I don't think any of us could have predicted the surprises we've seen in FS17. 19 is sure to be the best yet.

The Case 1455 XL and 1660 combine were shown in the fact sheets (along with the 8340) the week before, and before that we saw both in the teaser video for the Making of Farming Simulator 17 video three weeks before launch.

If I remember correctly, they were intended to be a surprise upon release but were leaked on Youtube so Giants decided to make the fact sheets for them since we all saw them anyway.

Either way, there's still plenty of stuff in 19 we haven't seen yet.

Maybe it's that Giants will allow modders to make anything they want from the manufacturers already in the game...that would awesome lol

From my understanding, not all mods or equipment are allowed on consoles. I understand PC gets whatever they want.

This won’t change. Stegei, the lead developer of the game has actually confirmed that the console version of FS19 will have the same limitations as FS17: viewtopic.php?f=893&t=129459&p=1024247#p1024247

Sounds so negative ... "The same limitations" ... but the mods will have less save space requiremend. At the end, they find an amazing solution to get more mods and maps into the limitaded space. THIS IS AMAZING!
