why can't i find game in multiplayer

i don't know if it matters if i have a mac and my buddy has a pc but can't find each others game in multiplayer

Multiplayer games between the Mac OS X and windows version of the game are fully supported, so if it is not possible for you to see each other in MP then there must be some other issue.

Please check out the following post which gives some tips on how to set up and test multiplayer mode: viewtopic.php?f=832&t=88134 (although it was written for FS15 it still applies for FS17)

You guys have to make sure you guys are fully updated to the latest patch (1.3.1.0). You both have to be updated to the same patch, if you aren't, then it will not work, period.

I'm having the same issue but my friend got his copy off amazon. Does that make a difference? I'm on Mac and he is on PC. Are there separate servers for the different copies of the game?

PC and Mac users can play with each other. Steam, Apple App Store, and the DVD version are all the same. GIANTS servers may be down, or your internet connection may not be good at this time, try again later. I couldn't view multiplayer one time, but my internet wasn't the best at that time, so I tried again when it was a little better and it worked.
