Multiplayer connection issues

I'm having trouble with staying connected to my multiplayer server as well as the rare occasion of not being able to connect to where I even see multiplayer servers listed. I know my internet connection is good as I can play multiple other online games without problem and only have this problem with farming simulator. Also I know it isn't my server host as my friend that plays on the server doesn't have any problems. Only me. Is there a problem with the giants server that you join to see all the multiplayer servers that's causing me not to be able to stay connected as the main problem I'm having is me losing my connection to the game randomly while I try to play. I hope what I've written makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Edit: I forgot to mention that sometimes when I click to go join multiplayer from the main menu the game crashes. I'm trying reinstalling it and hoping that that fixes any and all issues.
