Mods question

Post by Ps4farmer »

There are many from the same sort equipment like for example cultivators.
But in the other category equipment seems to bee hardly any mods at all.
Especially vehicles like tractors, trucks, cars and harvesters and combines.

For example in the category tractors (which is an important factor in farming, without tractors almost nothing gets done) for pc there are lots of tractor mods and for console there aren't any except for the giants ones.
I can accept that tractors from an other brand that isn't in game would be a problem.
But why can we not have the mods like the older fendt for example that is in beta for ages.
Lies the problem within giants or with the modders?

It's not really anyone's fault. From what I understand once someone uploads a mod to modhub it's up to giants to send it to console but there is more to it than that. The mod has to be error free. The creator has to have 3 error free mods on the modhub that are out of beta. It can't conflict with licensing constraints. It can't contain scripts that aren't in the base game. For example a lot of the tractors have in cab controls and interior lighting. Those are scripts not in the base game. It's probably even more complicated than that.

...and it has to be below a certain size and poly count. So, larger mods, like tractors, will be less likely to make it to consoles.
