Ground Modification

Wasn't sure where to post this because it's a bug but no related to the main game so didn't think it went in bug reports. Also wasn't sure who to bug about it.
The new mod ground modification gives a lua call stack warning on the Cherry Hills map by Stevie who I'm aware has retired after making this map. As soon as I enter a vehicle in game my fps drops to less than 10 and stays that way. Without the mod the issue is gone. It doesn't appear to be a problem on the GCV map. I haven't tried other mod maps but wondered if the issue was with the different textures the map has. Log is below. The error is at the bottom to save going through it all. The ground modification mod loads without errors when the game loads. I just get the error with the map. Any thoughts are appreciated *thumbsup*

It seems that this is a 4x map, i'm working on a fix for problems with 4x maps. I will test it with this map too.

This new mod "Ground Modification" by Jodamm will not allow the "American Outback Mod Map" to load after the mod has been installed. I assume that there is a major issue. I have to uncheck the mod to get game to load. I use the American Outback mod map. I don't see any errors but it just sits there and says the game is loading. As I am typing this message it has not loaded yet. I hope you are able to fix this issue. It would be a nice tool to use on other maps as well.

Thank you sir! The mod looks awesome and is something myself and I imagine others have been wanting for a while. Will save a lot of opening up things in GE for sure. My PC doesn't like editing big maps that's for sure lol.

Is this an existing savegame? I tried a new savegame and have no errors with this map.

Seems I got the answers I was looking for as I tested it on the 4x Texas map and got lots of call stacks.
It worked flawlessly on my Sosnovka savegame, it was really cool, so I hope you are able to make it compatible with 4x maps :)

Hi!
I can't get this mod to work. When I try to use it on my GCV savegame, it stops on the loading screen.
When I try to use it on a new savegame, the game launch but I can't find the roller in the menu.
wich category is it supposed to be in?
Hope you can get it to work. I've been dreaming about a mod like this since the game was released! :)

Yeah this mod does not work for me on Cherry Hills either. Game loads fine, but as soon as I hop in a tractor it freezes up. Even on a new save with zero other mods installed.

Loaded it up in GCV just to confirm, and it works fine there.

I have found the bug why the game does not load when activating the mod on a savegame, should be fixed in the next version. Workaround = sell all rollers in the savegame and enable the mod after this.
@JonasKaizer it's the normal roller under misc.

Is this an existing savegame? I tried a new savegame and have no errors with this map.
Not sure what you mean by "Saved Game" but I just restarted this map due to an update to the map that was done to it last week. I saw this new tool in the Mod and figure I would get it. When I went to load the game it would not load. The game just sits there. I am assuming you are saying we should delete our existing game to get this to work...I want do that. Takes way to many hours to set it back up again. However, I hope you are able to fix this issue. First time this has happened to me. I am using the PC version of the game.

Great mod. This adds another dynamic to the game and will keep us busy for quite some time. I loaded the mod in my Sosnovka save slot and bought a roller. Managed to roll out a dirt path, leaves, even some sand. Everything was great- no issues with FPS or any of the above reported. Game loads as it should. Saved my game and went about my day.

However... when loading my saved game later in the evening, all I had done was in "grass" texture form. No dirt path, no leaves- they were the "green" grass texture. No errors in my log either, so I was just curious if anyone else has reported same. I even used an empty slot and started a new game, bought the roller, did a few swaths of the different textures available, saved and exited. When returning to that game, it was the same thing- all I did was "green" grass texture. Tested on both Sosnovka and giantsIsland09.

The game is still loading but it does not load anymore.

@Redneckbeer: My guess is the issue is with the map, the modder have used custom names to nearly all ground textures, so if the lua script in the roller mod is looking for the textures with the default names (which 99.9 % uses on mod maps to) and can't find them, the script will cause errors and return a "nil value" error in your log. This is not the maker of the roller-scripts fault.

I am trying to figure out where I need to look, in order to change the values in the roller mod to the values used by the custom map. How do I compare the 2 values? I have looked at the Giants editor, and then the terrain, but in there, common items can be found, yet still the mod comes up not finding them, so maybe I am looking in the wrong place? I am very new to the Giants Editor, and found it to be a beast of a program.
