Texturing Issue With one Part

Post by thunderhawk »

Ok Here is my Problem the door panel on the car im working on is textured through the exterior dds instead of the interior dds that Being said my issue is what ever cube map i use it gets it too so my door panel is gloss I thought no big deal at first I will just export it again from default car and rename texture file before importing it back in but here is another kicker it cant be exported anytime I try and export it. It does not show up so I thought ok I will Just find in my mod and assign new mat Id nope that dont work either seeing is that its set as a transform group example Below

Code: Select all

  <TransformGroup name="doorLeft" translation="1.06738 0.685508 0.844534" clipDistance="300" nodeId="201">
        <Shape shapeId="17" name="window_door_left" translation="-1.06738 -0.685508 -0.844534" clipDistance="200" nodeId="202" materialIds="9" castsShadows="true" receiveShadows="true"/>
        <Shape shapeId="18" name="window_door_left_interior" translation="-0.213744 0.623144 -0.969394" clipDistance="20" nodeId="203" materialIds="12" castsShadows="true" receiveShadows="true"/>
 <TransformGroup name="doorLeft_interior" translation="-0.102792 0.24024 -0.815626" clipDistance="75" nodeId="204"/>
      <Shape shapeId="19" name="mirrorDoor_leftDecal" translation="0.00758913 0.489133 -0.473949" rotation="-85.1816 18.607 0" clipDistance="20" nodeId="205" materialIds="32" castsShadows="true" receiveShadows="true" decalLayer="1"/>
        <Shape shapeId="20" name="Teneesee" translation="0.00769189 0.113146 -0.807416" rotation="1.86064 -0 0" nodeId="206" materialIds="45" castsShadows="true" receiveShadows="true"/>
        <Shape shapeId="21" name="State Trooper" translation="0.00831655 -0.234818 -0.750099" rotation="1.63968 0.379238 -13.0195" nodeId="207" materialIds="47" castsShadows="true" receiveShadows="true"/>
        <Shape shapeId="15" name="Strobe Light Base" translation="0.0367909 0.492898 -0.299679" rotation="1.87556 35.5591 3.32325" scale="0.3 0.2 1" nodeId="208" materialIds="35,34"/>
        <Shape shapeId="16" name="coronaBrakeLeft1" translation="0.0425625 0.499022 -0.289612" rotation="1.71254e-12 44.5048 3.43101e-07" scale="2 0.5 1" clipDistance="200" nodeId="209" materialIds="22" castsShadows="true" receiveShadows="true"/>
        <Shape shapeId="16" name="coronaBrakeLeft1" translation="0.0425625 0.499022 -0.289612" rotation="1.71254e-12 44.5048 3.43101e-07" scale="2 0.5 1" clipDistance="200" nodeId="210" materialIds="22" castsShadows="true" receiveShadows="true"/>
      </TransformGroup>

Here is the Interior panel below

Code: Select all

       <TransformGroup name="doorLeft_interior" translation="-0.102792 0.24024 -0.815626" clipDistance="75" nodeId="204"/>

I replaced the cubeMap with A rough cube and worked great to fix door panel but I dont really want the body of car to have the rough cube finish but cant find a way to split them up and the interior panel has all materail editing locked out so I cant do anything with it that way
