I do t know how much editing you have to do to these maps but I do have a little suggestion is you have to do alot of editing to the trees. Having one of the landing areas with more of the smaller trees that the sampo can cut would be nice.
I've been trying to make myself use this machine and just work my way up to a scorpion king, but find it frustrating being unable to use the lowly machine. With consoles having little to offer right now as far as forestry equipment I like to struggle with the lower equipment so I can work my way up just as real logging companies do.
It's just a thought I had. Do you plan to make your own logging map apart from FDR's? Would be nice to have a town with a couple main roads that havedirt roads branching off to lead to the woods.
I'm enjoying you let play series on this map also.

Pacific Inlet Logging has a lot of those trees along the north road and along all the edges of the landings up to the bridge.

I'm not sure if I'm going to make my own. There is one I've been thinking about but it has higher mountains and wouldn't be easy without the yarder. But if I get to that point I may end up going a different route and doing more with the idea of the DIY farming involved. Not sure, only time will tell.

Thank you for your comment on the series. I'm having fun making them. I start bringing in FDR equipment around episode 6 as I get more money. So look forward to that.

Sweet, thanks for the info, how deep or far rather from the road do I the trees run?

Maybe 10 yards each side of the road then random back in the woods farther.

Hard to measure really so just a guess but you would get a good amount just going along the roads.

The forum status post is not accurate. They post updates once a day and its usually a day behind what is actually happening. Currently it is not listed in the status post because they do not list pending mods. Just mods they are currently working on.

I'd also recommend that you checking out Smokey Mountain 5.1.0.0 when that gets released. Lets just say there is a secret entrance around the mill area. (Assuming Giants lets me keep it secret)

Smokey Mountains is my favorite map right now! I love taking my MF crawler up and down the narrow mountain trails. Wish I had a real skidder for this map.
Can't wait to get set up on Pacific Inlet and start swamp logging.

Just love Pacific Inlet map..curly maple trees are in it by the river. .love the flattened areas. haven't tried the swamp yet..Probably won't till I cut down enouch to get a field to grow farming fruits. its so fun..thanks to those producing these do it yourself maps..oh lived the smoky mountain trees in the dirt...just digging them out..fun.I hope the secert in smokey mountain is away up to the top where it relatively flat up there..you could do anything up there...please I hope.have played Emerald Valley so much..these series are ablast..thank you.smokey mountain has a interest for me..but need to just do some farming without destroying the asphalt the lay down trees are fun..it reminds me of a flood or disaster the way it looks..great maps..again thank you..keep up the great work...Chris
