Mappable "save button" !?

I make it a habit of saving my progress before I take on some critical tasks in this game.
But starting to get "sick" of having to open the menu to do this every time.

As far as I know there is not a "hot key" for this in the game (!?)

Is there a mod that enables this feature out there ... or can anyone make one (or implement it to an existing one like "Game Extension" or similar)!? ...

hey why don't you use the "map autosave" mod?
No "hotkey" needed, it saves automatically your game every 5 minutes.

That feature is already included in another mod that I use and I have it disabled.
I would never use it ... for many reasons ...
