Mods Not Seen by FS 17

I have a couple of mods that are not being seen by the game, they don't show up under "selection", I even went as far to start a new career, and delete every mod except the two problem zip files. I want the old retro Mack A and B. I even have a flood light mod that I download from withing the games mod center, that does not show up under selection area,

Nope, it does not contain multiple zips, there are no zip files inside, just the different models, and then shared items between them.

If you've updated the game, it may be that they haven't updated their modDesc.xml

What's it take to update the modDesc, I'm no coding genius, but I do know my way around a little. My log file is too large right now, too many mods I guess. I will start a new career on a new map, and post the new log file.

In the modDesc.xml there is a line that says

Code: Select all

<modDesc descVersion="38">

make sure it has 38 in it and not another number

Thanks Mr. Smith, it kind of worked, but there must be a little more to it. After changing the newest or latest version, I had (3) mods start showing up under in the Selection area, but if you check them off to load (even individually) , the game will never start/launch, it will just sit there forever trying to, but you end up having to kill it in the task manager.
