Sower/Seeders - In Search For...Help ! ! !

I never had such a hard time find a replacing sower (planter), really hard to have your cake and eat it too. I not particular to any brand, I just want something 18m or above, that use granular fertilizer, and not liquid. I've never had so hard of a time refilling seeders in my life, I'm not sure why Giant had to make this so complicated.

1.I bought the Hatzenbichler Terminator Th18 / TH1400, but its a pain the refill with seed and fertilizer. Plus I would rather the seed bin trail behind the sower, not the other way around. And the Hatzenbichler Terminator Th18 does not plant corn or sunflower.

2. So I bought the Great Plains to cover corn, and sunflower's, but its downside is, it does not support fertilizer.

3. I came across the mod JDDB60 V2.0.0.1. This was a nice working seeder, I bought (2) of them as John Deere in the store was having a sale. I figure I use one, put hired hand in the other, or hire them both out. Was I ever ticked the other night when the first time I tried to use them, as soon as your hire the AI, they say and object is blocking them, and there is nothing there but open field. I used (5) different tractors on (5) different fields, and same problem every time. I guess someone messing up in the script somewhere. Please if anyone has any insight as to fixing the AI false blocked path, let me know if it can be fixed. Downside to this seeder beside major AI issue, is it use liquid fertilizer.

4. I then bought a JD Air Seeder, this is nice unit, but its a royal pain the get seed/fertilizer in. And its also another deal where some one put the cart before the horse, with the implement (seeder) trailing the seed bin.

I also tried a out a John Deere DB90, but I could not get anything seed or fertilizer in it period, no matter what I used, I tried everything, no "R" could be raised in the menu. Pallets placed on all (4) sides, overloader, who would upload something like that.

The John Deere 1890 Air Seeder is a great seeder, but I don't use it because like you said it take forever to fill using the seed bags. I tried playing with the triggers to get it to load seed and dry fertilizer from the top, but was unsuccessful. I have found that the John Deere 1990 CCS Air Seeder is a awesome seeder, but its downfall it is a smaller platform to work with. Uses seed and liquid fertilizer. I only use it to sew wheat though. Is a shame I would much rather use the big 1890.

To plant corn and beans I use the John Deere DB-90. You can use the seed tender to fill it up, but you have to get the boom just in the right spot for it to load. Planter has to be folded and I usually have the best success right on or right in front of the lid on the front tank of the planter. Keep in mind this planter uses liquid and not dry fertilizer. The latter trigger works fine, it is just the seed trigger that is a pain. The seed tender works best when the boom is on the right side or off center. You just have to play with it. It is rather frustrating. I don't not know why the make the triggers so hard on these implements when it comes to filling them up. Like I said the 1990 works awesome on fill up.

By "seed tender", are referring to the Horsch Seed Tender 10T? I just got the Horsch DLC yesterday, to bad their largest seeder wasn't a tad larger. I have the John Deere DB90 v1.0.0.0, that came from here, but I can't get it to take anything, I tried every way I could to get seed into it, other than the seed tender you used. I can't understand whey modders keep using liquid fertilizer in their mods. I have to plants that product regular fertilizer have it in abundance.

BTW, I just started a support ticket with Giant about their tricky scripts for refilling seeders, beside the unsupported mods, I have similar problems with Giant's own sowers/seeders. Probably won't get me anywhere, but i gotta try!

The reason the Horsch equipment is in the sizes they are is the type of farming they are doing at that location. It was explained in the 2017 Media Vault if you happened to buy it. It has something to do with soil compaction and no-till farming, so all equipment can be run on tracks on the fields tram lines. They explain it better in the video, also all the equipment has working widths divisible by 3m. I could be wrong though.

You can mount the Horsch seed tender to a truck. Buy the seed tender and one the four ingame trucks. Pull the truck up beside the tender and you will get the option to mount the tender to the truck. Optionally, you can use a pallet fork to transfer the tender to the back of the truck and then attach it.

Got ya, thanks. Maybe someone can answer this, and maybe its from 2015 that I don't have, somewhere I saw a Terra Variant 6x6, larger tank, etc.

I did a quick search... no Terra Variant 6x6, but Vredo makes a vehicle similar to the Holmer Terra Variant in a 6x6 configuration. There are some mods for the Vredo. Do a search for 'Vredo mod' and you should get more than a few hits.

Hmm, I have pictures, screen shots 6x6 right next to the regular, this mod seems just top be for the cultivator they are using behind it. But now that I look at the pictures more closely, that one field looks like field # 5 and # 9 at Goldcrest Valley, and the mod says it for FS17, I added it, it loads, but only the cultivator. Somewhere some was using the 6x6 in FS17 by the looks of it. Someone find me this beast, I like the looks of the large tank, we all know how quickly slurry/digestate goes. Pics came from Holmer Kockerling Vector 620 V1.0 FS17 - W-culivator, zip file name "Holmer_Kockerling_Vector_620". When I download it it said W-culivator, so I figured it was pack, I was getting the (2) Holmer variants, and the cultivator.
