Gimp editing

Post by JCB20 »

So I've starting a bit of modding but it seems that when I edit any texture in Gimp (.dds format), the texture gets messed up. It doesn't line up with the shape right. Any help would be great.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by "doesn't line up with the shape right".

the texture appears to have slid back, on the hood it appears to start half way toward the cab.

The Gimp's dds converter is messed up and causes the dds to be upside down. I would recommend using Paint.net instead.

It's been a while since I've used Gimp but I believe if you mirror the image before you convert back to dds it will convert correctly.
