How are you texturing large objects in blender?

Post by dougw133 »

I have a large surface on a bridge I created. With the size of the area, it looks terrible unless I scale the image in the UV editor. If I scale it, I get the UVs Out of Range -8,8 error. What are you all doing to avoid this?

assuming the bridge has mostly the same look, I would let the UV map be larger than the texture and let it repeat.

Thats what I have done, and it looks great except it will always give the error of UVs Out of Range then. If I keep the parts within the UV island I dont get the error but it looks like stuff.
