Creating a map (large)

Are most standard maps that giants release 2x2 kilometres? Iv read of 4x maps and 16x?
Does the map have to increase by doubling the starting 2x, 4x, 8x and 16 etc?

Iv mapped out an area on google which I’d like to try and create, it has 41.3 m2 kilometres and 25.8 kilometres circumference..

Is a 4x map size 4 kilometres x 4 kilometres?

If your area is 41.3 square kilometers it's larger than a 4x map.

Standard map is 2km x 2 km
4x map is 4km x 4km
16x map is 8km x 8km
