Break down the <lifetime> configuration??

Post by kINO »

Can somebody break down the <lifetime> (value) </lifetime>. I see some mods with a value of 1 and some with 1000.
What exactly does this mean, please break it down or direct me to a thread that does. Thanks!

I'm guessing it's how long the repair status is before it's unusable and needs to be fully repaired (or replaced?).

More info I found from Reddit:
The rates at which these a vehicle's value decays depend on the hard-coded "lifetime" value for each vehicle. This value can be found in the ".xml" file for each vehicle, under "Farming Simulator 17\data\vehicles". The value is given in days, which is the maximum number of Days Owned that will count towards a vehicle's depreciation. This value appears to be divided by 12 to come up with a similar maximum number of Operating Hours. Note that a vehicle cannot reach maximum depreciation unless both the Days Owned and Operating Hours have maxed out.
