Placeable sell point on land not owned?

How does this work in FS19 if you have a placeable sell point and want to place it on a part of the map that you do not own yourself?

Cause it makes little sense to own the land where the sell point is located (you are basically selling the product to yourself).

Can a placeable be "coded" so that is is excluded from the rules of ownership to be placed anywhere on the map?

On petervill I was able to place a sell point in the large area at the shop.

Is that possible due to map design?

I'm not sure it is the only map I have tried it on so far, the reason being the standard map has only one sell point.
