Tutorial: Lights- using defaults, creating your own, range, color

Post by asyvan »

Hi
time for yet one more tutorial.

This tutorial will explain the two parts of the lights system, the Static lights that create the illumination of the "light bulb / reflector" as well as the actual light source that casts the light. It will show you how to use Giants default assets library, XML editing as well as creating your own lights (we create a LED Light Bar with a sharp blue-ish light).

Here is the link to the YouTube video: https://youtu.be/kPVESGjm5x0
Here is more tutorials on my page: https://www.facebook.com/je.modding

First 18 mins is the basics, some XML explanations and using Giants assets library.
Second part starts at 18:10 and then we create a light bar and play with colors.

Please note there is a mistake at 17:30 into the video. I have added a text description and the XML code I forgot to add. Sorry about that.
