Console mod

I'm just wondering if there might be someone working on a mod for the precision farming dlc to be able to adjust the soil sample radius on console.

That would require a script so not very likely. The alternative is somebody makes a mod sampler that simply has a bigger radius, but again not very likely

That would be amazing. I've stopped buying big fields just because I remember I'm going to have to keep taking soil samples.

If you don't mind a little cheating, you can use these console commands:
  • paUncoverField <field no> = Uncovers given field
  • paUncoverAll = Uncovers all fields
  • paReduceCoverState <field no> = Reduces cover State for given field
  • paReduceCoverStateAll = Reduces cover State for all fields

Great idea ... but not possible on console. Only PC because it is a script :gamer:

In fs17 it would even be possible because we had access to the terminal. Keyboard support existed.

In fs19 they removed keyboard support, so we couldn't access the terminal and type commands.

I think some people on the PC are just increasing the coverage area of the equipment. I think it's just changing a number within the mod. But I'm not sure.

If the console manufacturers would change this restriction, there would be many great mods for consoles as well. But well ... let's just wait and see what else will be decided so :search:

Only Sony continues with this restriction. We have some games on Xbox already with external scripts in their mods... Surviving Mars and Bethesda games like Fallout 4 feature mods with external scripts.

But some companies decide to make the same game for both platforms. We just have to respect and accept, unfortunately.

It just needs somebody who is willing to go through the struggle of releasing a mod with bigger range on Modhub. That way it would be available on consoles as well. :>
