Copying individual vehicles from package mod to put in personal mod.

Post by Gugernoot215 »

Hello Giants Software forum english.
The mod: https://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.p ... tle=fs2019
Has one great harvester (6150) and header (35ft) that is good value by base game pricing and one overpriced and redundant harvester (2566) and header (25ft) even by base game pricing.

How would I have to copy the good harvester and harvester from the pack to put into a personal mod (possible save for others if they just want that combine) to reduce file size and to not have the redunadnt harvester in the shop menu.
I have an idea on how to do so but am unsure.

Edit: the smaller combine is the only poor value item in the pack the rest is base game price value or better.
Running on 2 year old new old hardware that used to crash often.

I also use this mod on my current save. I like both combines.
If you are not satisfied with the price, go ahead and change it.

For your request:

1. make a copy of the mod zip file and rename it to your liking. Unzip the file
2. in the new folder, delete the i3d, i3d.shapes, xml and store icon files of the one you do not want.
3. biggest chunk of data is in the textures
4. open the i3d file with a text editor and check the first section where all files are referenced
5. now delete all files that are not used by the mod you want to keep.
6. remove the shopitems entries of the vehicles you don't want to keep in the modDesc.xml
7. rezip the file
8. done

Thank you I''ll start doing that right now. I realised the smaller combine is base game balanced for harvest speed but not for grain tank size.

I'm not sure that I have quite trimmed all traces of the smaller combine of the pack do you have somewhere to send files?
Edit: I trimmed off enough the rest left over was only 1mb post compression and that doesn't concern me anymore.
