Extracting equipment mods from a map mod

Post by Scott102 »

I've been playing the modded map Minibrunn a lot as it contains some really nice equipment mods - a potato version of the Holmer Terra Dos T4-40 and the Holmer HR12, as well as a multi-liquid version of the Lizard MKS8, amongst others.
I've found these files under the "vehicles" folder of the mod ZIP - is there any way I can extract them to standalone mods so that I can use them on different maps?
I've tried searching for the original mods online, but can't find the exact ones used.

Yes, you can. A mod is made of an XMLs, a model (i3d), textures + store image/icon and a modDesc.xml.
Some mods use models, sounds and textures from ingame vehicles/default files, so sometimes you'll only see a mod-XML and a modDesc.xml.

I think you'd need to create a modDesc yourself for the store items you want to extract from the map.
