how to make zip file?

Hi guys.

New to mod. really new to mod. I'm following up some tutorial, but I keep crashing on a stupid issue: making the zip file.
No matter what, when I make the zip file and put into mod folder, it doesn't read it.

I even took the tutorial file (which works fine in game), unzipit and re zipit and.... it doesn't work.

So. what are the setting for the zip?
what software should I use?
what am I missing?



sorry for the stupid question, but is something so simple that everyone online just keep saying "zip it and it's ready to go", that I cannot find anyone having the same trouble.

Make sure you zip the contents of the mod, not the folder itself. Also make sure the filename doesnt have any spaces

it's working now, even with the window build-in zipper.
