Unable to install FS17 on Mac

Hey there
I've bought this game for my son (now regretting it) and it will not install on our mac.
It downloaded fine but when I try to unpack the software it comes up with
Farming Simulator 17 - Kuhn Pack
This product needs the game version 1.4 or higher
Download update now?

So when I click yes it takes me to the download page but it says there you don't need to update if you have steam or mac it will update itself.
Well thats all good and well but we can't install the game in order for it to update.

HELP! can anyone tell me what to do so this kid will leave me alone lol

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Based on the message you are getting you did not buy the actual game, but one of the expansion packs (DLCs) that are available for it (http://www.farming-simulator.com/dlc.ph ... country=us).

You will need to buy the game itself as well, either directly from Giants (http://www.farming-simulator.com/about. ... atform=mac), via Steam or the Mac App Store (https://itunes.apple.com/my/app/farming ... 3056?mt=12).

Oh whoops now I feel like a dork and my son is now in tears because all up, a simple game has now cost his mother $77, not much point in paying $25 for an expansion pack if there isn't a game to add it too.
