Monitor refresh drops to 24Hz upon entry

Hello there,

I have an i5-4xxx righ with gtx 970 and it ran FS 15 well and I have power to spare for FS. However with FS 17 upon entry into the program it resets the monitor (LED TV) refresh rate down from 60Hz to 24Hz. I have checked the the dev console with F2 and my fps is 110-115 at idle. So at 24Hz everything is choppy with tearing.

So if I Alt Tab back to windows, windows takes it to 1920x1080 (same resolution) but at 60HZ. Then if I alt tab back to FS 17, it stays at 60Hz and all looks well.

Is there a way to launch FS17 and have the monitor stay at 60Hz refresh, please?

My vsync is off in the Nvidia console and in the game.
