GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

Post by D.Acker »

Does anyone have any experience with the GeForce GTX 1050 TI. Game has been extremely jumpy and I suspect it is due to the onboard graphics. I've looked in to the min. required (recommended) cards but they seem to require a 400w power supply, I only have a 300 and would prefer not to upgrade that at this time if possible.

I found the GTX 1050 Ti card and it appears to be a better card than the GTS-450, however, graphics cards is not my area of expertise.

Specs:
Graphics Engine
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Memory
4 GB GDDR5
Core Clock
1290 MHz
Boost Clock
1392 MHz
CUDA Cores
768
Memory Interface
128-bit
Max Resolution
7680 x 4320
Interfaces
DVI-D (dual link) ¦ DisplayPort ¦ HDMI

Any input would be appreciated.

The jumping doesn't appear to be related to any mods as it happens on the default maps with no mods.

I'm using a GTX 960 which is a bit lesser of a card without issue. 1920x1080 at 60 FPS most of the time. I've found that for Farming Simulator the CPU is taxed more than the graphics card. However, pretty much anything is better than onboard graphics.

Thanks. I'm running an i5 @3.2 GHz with 16GB RAM, so I'm fairly confident that it's a graphics card issue at this point. But yes, agree, it uses a lot of CPU power.

PSU isn't a problem, they "say" that you need 400w, but they never use that much, so your 300w is fine.

Are you updated to the latest version of FS and Graphics Driver?

Your psu may not have the required connectors for the gpu. I have a GTX 460 I think and that needs 2 6 pin power connectors.

In a Nvidia forum thread they state it is a Windows issue which should be corrected anywhere in the future... got the same jumping on my GTX 1060

I have an 1050Ti and haven't experienced any jumping or stuttering. Rest of my setup is Ryzen 3 cpu, 128gb ssd and 8gb ddr4 ram and a 450w psu.
