"Game Not Saved" Issue

I can no longer save any games, no matter what slot I use. I have looked for an answer but I cannot find one, and it has left me unable to play this game. I am at my wits end.

It all started when I was getting an error starting the game. I looked it up and followed instructions to run the game as the administrator. It worked to start the game, but then all the sudden I was no longer able to save my games. I completely wiped the game from my computer, but that didn't fix it. When I try to start a new game and save it, it creates a savegame1 document in the documents folder that I can't even delete, saying I need permission to do so. How can I not have permission if I AM the admin?

I don't know what to do anymore.
