Windows 7/8/10 ???

Could one of you kind folk tell me what the difference is running fs17 on say,windows 7 compared to windows 10....is there a performance drop with 7?

I am no expert but always thought it was what power your computer is, like ram, memory ect.to run FS17 and not the operating system, I run mine on Windows 10 OK and on a laptop

The operating system can definitely make quite a difference, since it is controlling how the resources are assigned to the game. However, based on my experience, Windows 7 and Windows 10 are quite close in terms of what the performance for the game is (if both are 64bit).
