DLC's on DVD useing steam

Hello,

Got a question that seems nowhere to be found on the inter webs.

I have the Big Bud dlc on a dvd and the Kuhn dlc from the farmsim page.
Can i use them on a Steam account or do i have to buy them from Steam?

I want to buy the platinum tomorrow on steam but only when i can use both of the dlc's that i already own.

Yes, the DLCs you have on DVD or as a download from Giants can also be used with the Steam version of the game. But not the other way round, if you buy the game on DVD you can't use any DLCs bought via Steam.
