xbox one controller on PC

I recently downloaded and installed the 1.5 update for my game and i've always used an xbox one controller to play the game. But after the update i'm not able to use it at all now. I've gone in the settings and turned on the gamepad/wheel setting. The game also recognizes the controller but it won't work. Any help would be great.
