Xbox One Game Won't Start

For the second time in as many weeks I'm being forced to reinstall the game because it won't launch. All I get is the splash screen then a blank screen and then it returns to the Xbox home page. I tried a few things each time like restarting the Xbox, disconnecting from the network, and even uninstalling what DLC I could access from the Manage Game screen.

It's really frustrating since I have slow internet and only so much time to play each day.

I'm not sure if it matters but I am running it on a Xbox 1 S. All updates are installed. Version is 1.5.1. Base game plus all the Platinum Eddition DLC plus a couple of other mods (not exactly sure which ones since I can't get into the game to see).

I've had this issue before, what I do is just leave my game paused and the Xbox running

Have to tried clearing the cache on the xbox. Rather than uninstall in and reinstalling your game?

Other than restarting, how would I do this?

Hold in the power light until the system beeps and turns off. Remove the power adapter for 30 seconds or more. Plug it back in then turn on your system again. Restart farm sim and it will sync data, that's it just getting your game info and save files from the cloud. If that doesn't help then uninstall the game completely and do it again. Try doing it before uninstalling a game though if the problem happens again. Its a lot faster than having to reinstall a game when it crashes. Just like a pc your xbox needs to keep temp files and these like a pc can corrupt. Especially if you install and uninstall a lot of mods.

You would think that developers would be better about clearing cache than they are...

The cache has nothing to do with developers. It's the system itself. Because it is basically a run of the mill basic pc running Windows it needs the care that a pc needs also.

If you have your console set to "quick-start" there is a chance the game is not closing.
From the XB dashboard:
Find the FS17 icon
Press pause (or three lines, I guess) and select "Quit".
Wait 10 seconds and try again.
I disabled the quick start because of this issue. (in power saving mode it shuts down completely)

No disk, I have the downloaded Eddition.

That's good info about the quick start. I'll look and see if I can change that option.

My disk version won't launch, I don't have the game installed on other storage devices either.
