Help: My new gaming pc doesn't have a DVD drive.

Post by BreadedVirus »

Just bought FS 17 off of Amazon and totally forgot that my new gaming pc doesn't have a DVD drive.

Can I install the game on my laptop hdd and then use it as a external hard drive and copy the game onto the gaming pc?

Shouldn't even have to install it on the laptop. Put the disk in the laptop and share the drive.

You can also create an ISO Image of the DVD on the laptop, and then copy that to your gaming PC and use it as a virtual DVD drive: https://www.howtogeek.com/228886/how-to ... and-linux/

Use the ISO image method... Much more reliable... And 1 more advantage, You'll only have to do it once, if you keep the ISO file in a folder you'll find it afterwards.
To mount your ISO image file as a virtual DVD drive, there's VirtualClone drive, from Slysoft that's one of the easiest to use.
