XB1 controller no longer responding / To many devices?

Some may say I have to many controllers ... (I like to have a lot of options.)
Today I got myself an additional gear shifter ... (yes I need 2 of them) ...

After mapping this, my XB1 controller stopped working for FS17.

It seems to have changed to "device 9" in the controls menu after adding the "T500 RS Gear Shift" (which identify as "8") .
But it is no longer responding to inputs in neither the game or the controls menu.
I have rebooted my PC ... (the XB1 controller works in the device manager)

Any suggestions?

Edit: I tried unplugging any other device, which made the XB1 controller work again ... so my guess is that the game can not support this many controllers.

Edit 2: I solved the problem by getting rid of the "TWCS Throttle" and remapped the few bindings I had on it.
After this I saved the controls and looked at the inputBinding XML to see if it was gone from there ... and it was.
The strange thing is ... Even though it has no bindings in the game any more, the XB1 controller will stop working if the USB cable for the "TWCS throttle" is connected ...

As far as I know the engine is limited to 8 devices.
And to be honest, I've never heard of anyvody coming even close to that number. In extreme cases maybe 4 or 5 devices, but 9 is really a bit... much...

glad you got it going. my new problem is now with a ps4. left the xb1 at home and went 500 miles to st louis to spend spring break with my grandkids. ellis has a ps4 so I bought fs17 for it and was playing it today. everything was going fine and I leased a windrower for getting a windrow for baleing hay and used the garage to return the windrower to the shop. then went to the shop and I can't buy anything. I can switch to baling but can't select anything and I can switch between catagories with the lr lf buttons but can't back out, can't select can't do anything except switch to the garage or close the shop. exited and started again and same problem. tryed new game and it works fine in the shop. must be some problem with woodshire. oh well, had to let the grandson back on his ps4. I didn't have any problem with the xbox but I didn't do this specific action with the leased equipment. I will try when I get home in a couple of weeks. chas
